Evelyn Morales died Tuesday evening after the vehicle she was traveling in struck a telephone pole near the intersection of Northampton Road and Wilkes Avenue in Amsterdam. The 35-year-old victim was found unresponsive in the back of a vehicle on East 56th Street and Sutton.
